China-Romania Trade-Invest Symposium Held, ViriHub & Romanian Firms in Strategic Alliance

On July 1, the China (Zhejiang) – Romania Trade and Investment Symposium was held in Bucharest. Chunlin Han, ambassador of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Romania, Wenguang Xu, executive vice governor of Zhejiang Province, Luce, state secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Romania, and Daraban, chairman of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended and delivered speeches. In addition, about 120 representatives of Chinese and Romanian enterprises and media also participated in the event.

Mr. Qunfang Luo (Henry Luo), VP of ViriHub, attended the meeting on behalf of the company and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dan Flesariu, CEO of Wiren, a local Romanian enterprise. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the development, investment and construction of new energy power stations. For the first batch of cooperation, a 30MW photovoltaic power station and a 170MWh independent energy storage power station will be built, with a total investment of 70 million euros (about 560 million yuan).

Mr. Luo said, “Under the grand background of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Romania and the 70th anniversary of the publication of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, this cooperation is of far-reaching significance. ViriHub will focus on ensuring the financing of project funds, and will continuously introduce domestic cutting-edge technologies in accordance with European standards, and constantly promote the technological upgrading and innovative development of projects. This move not only promotes the development of Romania’s new energy market, but also injects impetus into the global carbon neutral cause.”

Dan Flesariu, CEO of Wiren, said, “The two sides are highly compatible in corporate vision. They draw on each other’s strengths and realize the optimal allocation of resources, providing one-stop services of development, EPC and asset management for the project to ensure the smooth progress and efficient operation of the project. This signing is only the beginning of further in-depth cooperation, demonstrating the firm determination and positive results of friendly cooperation between China and Romania in the new era.”
